HOW IT ALL STARTED?
At the heart of Rangritiya lies a mother’s dream — gentle, pure, and quietly powerful. A dream that wasn’t just about fabric or fashion, but about creating a space where women could feel seen, celebrated, and special.Years ago, in a modest home in Chennai, a mother spoke often of opening a small clothing store — a place where women could find comfort, culture, and confidence in every outfit. Life didn’t always give her the tools to build that store, but she gave her sons something even more valuable — her vision.
That dream found its way into the hearts of her sons, Rakesh Ragavendran and Avinash Rao. Determined to honour her wish, they opened a small store in Chennai. For three years, they listened, learned, and lived the world of women’s fashion — discovering what truly makes an outfit feel like home to a woman.
But this wasn’t the final chapter. It was only the prologue.
What began as a tribute to their mother’s quiet dream soon blossomed into a bigger purpose. One evening, surrounded by their mother and close friends, the brothers spoke of building something larger — something that could take her legacy across India.
That’s when Rangritiya was born. A name that beautifully blends "Rang" (colour) and "Ritiya", a soulful extension of the word Riti, meaning tradition. Together, Rangritiya signifies the colours of our culture, crafted for today’s woman — bold, rooted, and unapologetically vibrant.
Rakesh and Avinash, joined by their mother, and dear friends Kuldeep Singh, Vinay Chauhan, and Ruchi, decided to bring this vision to life — each adding their soul, skill, and strength to this labour of love.
Together, they created Rangritiya not just as a brand, but as a celebration of womanhood, legacy, and love. This isn’t just a fashion label. It’s a tribute to every mother who dreamed but put family first. To every daughter who carries those dreams forward. And to every woman who wears her story with pride. Rangritiya is for her. Because she is tradition, she is style, and she is the vibe.
